Ben Koning

Ben Koning has worked in the computer industry since 1985, mostly as a senior software engineer at Apple Computer, where his specialties have been in system software, diagnostics, boot firmware, device and printer drivers, imaging, and mass storage.  He has held leadership roles in software architecture and has been instrumental in the development of many Apple products over the years.  During this time he has also pursued hobbies of video production and private pilot aviation.

Ben's video production experience dates from circa 1986, when he first volunteered at the PBS station KTEH in San Jose, working on productions such as the (Michael) Malone show and eventually directing live fundraising art auctions and pledge breaks and producing several public service announcements. Since that time, Ben has volunteered extensively for Mountain View Community Television, advised their board of directors, and won several national awards, while also producing several short-form training and marketing programs for various small companies and individuals such as Ultratech Stepper, Inc., WNBA player Jennifer Azzi, MessageBay, and more.

Ben is a perfectionist who always strives for the absolute best in technical quality, artistic taste, and creativity to the extent possible within time and budget. And he is very handy with a Cessna 172.
